About Us

When I was between ages nine through sixteen I had to pick up rocks so they would not hurt the mower. I hated rocks at that time. Years later when I bought My parents house I harvested the pine trees trying to reduce the Huge mortgage I had to acquire. After that I had all of the stumps removed and we leveled the ground I was going to use three acres and build three houses and then sell those houses so I would decrease that mortgage.  But after every rain I found more and more Quartz Crystals covering the entire area. I found water clear crystals and Green Chlorite Inclusions. I had no idea what an inclusion was much less a green crystal so I called in our state Geologist, Mike Howard, and asked him why is there so much here. He came out and told me I should keep my day job because he had no idea why it was there in such a large concentration. He asked me to have three trenches dug because it could be just surface material and would not last very long and besides he did not know why it was there. My place is far away from Mt Ida or Jesseville where the major deposits of quartz are. I had the trenches dug and he came back and brought a Major Fault Line Map of my area.  The map clearly shows that I am sitting on top of the largest fault that there is in my area and it showed the fault is going straight back to Mt Ida which is one of the largest deposits and the best quality quartz in the world. When I saw there was that much out there I enlarged my mortgage so I could buy a bulldozer.  We scraped off all of the surface dirt and found a vein of quartz every three feet. A vein of quartz then three feet of sandstone and then another vein and so on. I next called Jimmy Coleman who is one of the largest rock men in the area and asked him how should I dig these crystals so I do not damage any of it. He told me to push off the first fifteen feet to one side and let people dig through it and then I can get down to the larger quartz so I could start making more money. I appreciated his advice but I am not pushing off those first fifteen because almost all of it is what they called "healed". So I am going vein after vein until I get down to that area and beyond. I have since found out that my every three footers are called "FEEDERS", they feed into larger networks below and we have counted eight of those and those should gather into larger ones below that. So my veins might go down to 100 to 150 feet deep.  So I now have a lifetime of fun and enjoyment and education in my own backyard. How often can anyone say that they enjoy their job and they love the things that they are dealing with?  Well I can say it. - Niles Boxer
